Tinubu congratulates Aide-de-Camp on Promotion to Colonel, predicts greater military success
President Bola Tinubu celebrated the promotion of his Aide-de-Camp, Nurudeen Alowonle Yusuf, to the rank of Colonel on Thursday, describing the officer as a model of diligence, reliability, and leadership.
In a heartfelt speech at the State House, Tinubu praised Yusuf’s dedication and character, noting that his promotion reflects the military’s recognition of his exceptional service.
“Nurudeen is a diligent and reliable officer with the right temperament. I believe he will go farther and farther in his profession,” Tinubu stated. “We are with you, we love you, and we will continue to do so.”
Col. Yusuf, promoted retroactively effective September 22, 2023, expressed gratitude for the President’s trust in his leadership as ADC, pledging continued loyalty and dedication to his duties.

Dignitaries at the event included National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. The ADC’s family members also shared in the momentous occasion.
