The Daily Times Nigeria has issued a public apology across its social media accounts—Instagram, Facebook, after publishing a false picture that wrongly implicated Instagram user @AALIAA_REEVES.
In the statement released today, the platform admitted to a serious error, clarifying that @AALIAA_REEVES was not the person described in the original story and that her image had been used without her knowledge or consent.

“We sincerely apologize to @AALIAA_REEVES. She was not the individual referenced in the story posted on [20/05/2025], and we acknowledge that her image was used in error. This has since been removed from all platforms,” this statement read.
The Daily Times Nigeria concluded its apology by reiterating its commitment to accuracy and ethical content practices, promising stricter verification measures moving forward.
