Kenya’s Betsy Saina has emerged women’s winner of the Great Manchester Run and was followed by Britain’s Gemma Steel in runner-up position for the second consecutive year at the event. The 29-year-old from Leicester ran 31mins 57secs to finish six seconds behind Kenyan winner Saina.
