Supporters club applauds Ugwuanyi over transformation in Rangers Int’l FC

The chairman, Rangers International FC of Enugu Supporters club, Ibuchukwu Nwodo has applauded the Enugu State Governor his Excellency Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for turning Rangers into professional club.
Nwodo made this known to newsmen in Enugu on Tuesday saying that, Rangers became a professional club under Ugwuanyi’s administration.
” His Excellency started this great feat by setting up a 10 man board of enquiry headed by Prof. Agu Gab Agu.
” The target given the board was to ascertain the problem of the club and to formulate modern football policy that will bring the club winning glory, ” he said.

He said that Rangers have equipments and all logistics that determined professional clubs.
Nwodo who was the former Special Assistant to the Governor on Rangers matters, noted that Ugwuanyi gave Rangers Gym of it’s kind which was the first of its kind in the country.
He noted that, the centre was first of its in Nigeria, adding that a football club without a good medical department and fitness centre was a way off the mark.
Nwodo mentioned equipment at the centre to includes, Chattanooga Wireless Pro, Mobile Ultrasound, Mobile Laser, Intelect Redial Pressure Shockwave, Ankle and Elbow training machines.
” Others are sweat treading machine, bicycle timer equipment and body rollers, physiotherapy first aid box, and physiotherapy consumables among others.
” The centre and the equipment cost the state government not less than N20 million, ” Nwodo said.
He said that the provision of physiotherapy and fitness centre for the club shows how much the Governor loved Rangers.
He counts other Governor’s achievement for Rangers to include, three Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions.
” One CAF championship in 2016/2017 and two CAF Confederation cup in 2018/2019 and 2019/2020
”Rangers won the league in 2016 after 32 years of wait with a 4-0 resounding victory over El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri in the final match played in Enugu, ” Nwodo said.
He also noted that the Governor propel the club to win the Federation cup two years later over Kano Pillars FC in Asaba, Delta State in 2018.
”Rangers have attended CAF continental competitions for seven times in which three were achieved under Ugwuanyi administration, ” he said.
Nwodo noted that Ugwuanyi equipped the club medical to standard and that the medical equipment had been adjudged the best by the LMC and NFF.
” The most of its all, the governor puts the players and technical crew under life insurance of which the late Ifeanyi George has benefited from, ” Nwodo said.
He said that the governor changed the face of the club by ensuring that the players are been paid as at when do.
Nwodo also said that the governor was the architect of the club feeder team which act as a recruitment ground for the main team.
Finally, the chairman said that more are still coming as the governor have not softened the paddles in his search for more glory for the club.
