Sultan, Oyinlola bag Fountain varsity honorary degree

Fountain University, Osogbo, Osun State, during its fourth and fifth convocation, will be conferring honorary degrees on the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, and former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bashiru Raji, said this while addressing a press conference on the activities heralding the convocation ceremony which will hold on 29th of March.
He noted that the institution decided to honour the Sultan of Sokoto and Oyinlola because of their impactful contributions to national development.
The VC said the convocation lecture with the tittle, ‘Religious Tolerance and Challenges of Democratic Governance’ would be delivered by Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
The VC reiterated the commitment of the university to providing its students with the best of education and assured that the institution will continue to develop high quality teaching and research.
According to him, the university will graduate a total 350 students in the 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 Academic Sessions. Eleven students made first class, and 102 finished with second class upper honours.
