Stop heating the polity, Adamawa Gov warns politicians

….says it is time to work not politicking

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State Wednesday warned the citizens especially politicians against inciting comments, saying the time of politicking is over.

He stated this when he received in audience stakeholders of Yola South on a thank-you visit over appointment of their son, Barrister Auwal Tukur as Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Exchanging pleasantries with the visitors, the Governor expressed worry over how some people do post prejudiced comments particularly on the social media , vowing to deal with such recalcitrants with treason.

He however urged the stakeholders to enlighten the people on the dangers of cutting down trees for firewood, saying such is detrimental to the preservation of environment.

The governor restated his pledge to addressing challenges of water supply among others in Yola South, promising more developments to the people and called for peaceful coexistence in the state.

Earlier in his remarks, the Executive Chairman Yola South Local Government Area, Engineer Hamidu Mahmud thanked Governor Fintiri for appointing their sons and daughters into government positions.

He lauded Governor Fintiri for executing massive projects in Yola South, pointing out the ongoing water project, assuring him unalloyed loyalty and support to the present administration.
