Soname: Remo Stars are still a work progress

The Sky Blue Stars reveals his side are still a work in progress heading into the new season

Premier League new boys, Remo Stars have set a goal to keep their NPFL status intact, according to the club’s chairman, Kunle Soname.

Soname revealed that his team’s only goal in the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season is to stay in the apex league.

“At this moment i’ll say the team isn’t ready yet but I will say it’s still a work in progress, i see progress each day but I’m sure that by the time the league starts the team will be very ready,” Soname told Goal.

“The goal for Remo Stars this season is to keep our NPFL status intact if we do that then it feels as though we’ve won the league by our own standard. If we remain in the league then that’s a huge achievement by our own standard.

“As regards the home ground Remo Stars will use, it’s not cast in concrete yet but we shall present the Dipo Dina stadium, Ijebu Ode and the Sagamu stadium as an alternate venue for the League Management Company (LMC) to inspect.”
