Be solution to Nigeria’s problems, cleric tells students

An Associate Pastor at City of Life Miracle Center, Lagos, Sharon Adeyinka who was the guest speaker at the Unique Group of Schools valedictory service, has encouraged outgoing students of the school to see themselves as special gift from God to their family and nation thus the need for them to represent the image of the country in a positive dimension.
“You are the lights of the world, do not let the darkness of this present world and immoralities to overshadow your light but stand as unique lights as problem solver, solution provider to problems in the society”, she said.
The guest speaker also advised them to be good ambassadors of their family, school and the nation anywhere they find themselves stressing that a good name is better chosen than great riches as many in the society have wrecked their family names in the course of pursuing riches and wealth.
“There will be higher level of freedom for those leaving for higher institution of learning but remember that with freedom comes responsibility and discipline , freedom is not an opportunity to misbehave and live life anyhow. Life does not give you what you deserve but what you demand and only committed runners come out as champions” she said.
To the parents she urged them to spend time impacting their children positively adding that the society is the reflection of what is happening in each family thus parents have a lot of roles to play in instilling good values such as hardwork, integrity, diligence and the fear of God in their children.
“There is a school in the home where morals and values should be taught, parents should consciously and continuously create time to teach their children at home”, she said.
Principal of the school, Mrs Oluwakemi Onochie urged the students to fear God in the days of their youth as youthful years are sensitive, energetic and delicate but the fear of God is the guarantee for their preservation thus the need to allow the fear of God to lead and direct their ways and action.
She also advised them to have a mental picture of their desired future and let their God given dreams and visions inspire and motivate them daily by being committed, courageous, dedicated and responsible while appreciating teachers and school management for molding the lives of the children and shaping their destinies as destiny leaders.
