Snifer Dogs to Aid Investigations at Lagos Underground Ritualist Den

The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, has said scientific and professional approach will be used in the investigation of a ritualist den uncovered at an underground tunnel around Ijaiye Area of Lagos on Tuesday.

According to Owoseni, “for now, about seven persons who are suspected to be using those buildings as base for rituals, have been arrested.

“We will continue to give it a touch of professionalism and scientific approach by deploying sniffer dogs that can also penetrate into the canal to see whether we can get materials to be of evidential value.”

Police search has also discovered clothes, under wears, identity cards and wigs of people perceived to belong to some victims were seen at an abandoned house used as a hideout by the suspects.

Owoseni, however, maintained that investigations were still on and that all the perpetrators will definitely face the wrath of the law.
