Scunthorpe Utd win race for Ojo

EFL League One club Scunthorpe United have won the race for Belgian-born Nigerian midfielder Funso Ojo. Having been linked with three clubs in the Dutch Eredivisie, Funso Ojo ended speculation about his future after penning a three-year contract with The Iron on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old started his career with the youth teams of Olse Merksem and Germinal Beerschot before he was snapped up by PSV Eindhoven in 2004.

He made 19 appearances for the first team of PSV before he departed the club in 2012.

In the last five years, Ojo has represented Willem II Tilburg, FC Dordrecht, VVV-Venlo and Royal Antwerp FC.
