S’Court Judgement: Prayers was my antidote -Gov. Bindow
The governor of Adamawa state, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, has attributed the favourable verdict he obtained in the Supreme Court over in his electoral battle to the prayers of people of the people of the state.
He reiterated his belief that nothing prayers could not, stating that “prayers can move mountains”, noting that his victory is a success to all Adamawa people.
Governor Bindow, while speaking in Yola the state capital on Sunday, promised to work for the general interest of the Adamawa whose mandate he rode to become the governor of the state.
“I and my deputy, Engr Martins Babale, will join hands to make sure that everybody feel the impact of our government”, Bindow stated.
His supporters in their thousands thronged the airport to welcome him and to show their support and solidarity for him.
Bindow, who spoke with journalists at his residence in Yola, said now he has realized that God wants him to work for the people of Adamawa state.
The governor would have been out of office if the apex court had ruled in favour of Murtala Nyako in the case between the former governor and the 7th State House Assembly which impeached the former.
On his part, the erstwhile governor, Nyako, through a telephone chart with a local radio station in Yola, thanked the people of the state for their support throughout the “period of his trials.”
