Sabistation Business Owners Awards 2024 Celebrates 110 Nigerian Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders

Lagos, Nigeria – October 22, 2024 – The second edition of the Sabistation Business Owners Awards (SBOAwards), known as “The Sabies,” was held on October 22, 2024, at Upscale Quarters, Lekki Phase I, Lagos.
The prestigious event, which has now become an annual celebration of excellence in business and entrepreneurship, recognized 110 individuals and companies that have significantly contributed to the growth and development of the Nigerian economy.
The awards honored entrepreneurs, business leaders, innovators, and social entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, creativity, and resilience in their respective fields.
This year’s top winners included Aliko Dangote, who was named Entrepreneur of the Year (Man), and Funke Akindele, Entrepreneur of the Year (Woman). Social entrepreneur Michael Collins Ajereh (Don Jazzy) received the Social Entrepreneur of the Year award, while comedy legend Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome (Alibaba) was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Other winners included: Business Leader of the Year: Obinna “Obi” Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana); Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Tayo Aina (Photographer, Filmmaker, YouTuber); Mentor of the Year: Nelly Agbogu (NBC Tradefair & DSI); Small Business of the Year: Chioma Ifeanyi-Eze (Data Entry Academy); Start-Up of the Year: Peter Ayeni (Party Jollof Africa)
“Today, we celebrate the resilience, creativity, and determination of Nigeria’s finest business leaders and entrepreneurs,” said Ediale Kingsley, Founder/CEO of Sabistation. “These awardees have not only excelled in their fields but also contributed to the overall progress and growth of our economy.”
The SBOAwards also recognized leading organizations in various industries, with awards such as Best Automotive Company (Innoson Vehicle Manufacturer), Best Real Estate Company (Landwey Investment Limited), and Best Fashion and Apparel Company (Mudi Africa).
The winners were selected through a rigorous process involving a distinguished panel of experts, the Sabi Jury, and media professionals. The event also featured the Media Awards category, where journalists from leading publications such as Vanguard, This Day, and The Guardian played a pivotal role in recognizing top achievers.
