Robbers attack Ogwashi- Uku

 Rampaging armed robbers terrorising Ogwashi-Uku, the headquarters of Aniocha South Local Government, Wednesday attacked residents in Agidiase Quarters in the community, robbed them of their household belongings  N150, 000 cash.

It was gathered that the armed hoodlum stormed the quarter in the early hours and began rob house to house including old persons before security agents arrived.

One of the victims, Osahor Felix, who spoke to our reporter, said the robbers allegedly gained entrance into his apartment after shooting the security guard on his legs, adding that they robbed him of his belongings and N50, 000.

another resident of the quarter maintained that activities of the vigilante groups in the areas have not been helping matters, saying that robbers in the recent times operate unchallenged.

But police officers at the Ogwashi-Uku Police Division who did not want their names in the print confirmed that they were on the trail of the robbers and appealed for useful information that will help them.

Also, the police image maker in the state, Mr. Andrew Aniamaka, said the police were on the trial of the hoodlum but no arrest had been made
