Restructuring: APC holds Public hearing in Yola

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reiterated its determination to ensure true federalism and restructuring in line with its promise to the people.
Former Governor of Edo State, Professor Oserheimen Osunbor, who led members of the Consultation committee to the governor of Adamawa State, Sen Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow in Yola, explained that the consultation is to hear opinion of the people, with a view to finding common ground for unity and peace in the country.
Professor Osunbor said the consultation is for members of the party in Adamawa and Taraba states, emphasising that true federalism and restructuring is an integral part of the policy thrust of the Buhari led administration.
He said the committee was constituted by the National Chairman of APC to take the view of Nigerians on the burning issue of restructuring and true federalism, adding that the committee would forward the outcome of the consultation to the National Secretariat of the party.
Zonal Chairman of APC, Alhaji Abdullahi, who welcomed the delegation to the state, thanked the National Working Committee for considering the aspirations of members of the party in a bid to improve on the prevailing situation in the country.
Responding, Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, said the state government is doing everything possible to improve on the security situation in the state.
The governor explained that the state is secure and stable and appreciated the determination of President Muhammadu Buhari to restore peace to the North East.
In a short remark, Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Comrade Ahmad Ibrahim Sajo, explained that the meeting was to seek opinion of the people with the aim of producing a working document for the party.
The delegation includes Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Simon Aduba, former minister of women affairs, Aisha Ismail among others.
