We represent hope for Nigeria –Mass Action Joint Alliance

The Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA), on Thursday said that the party was formed to save Nigeria from maladministration of past leaders. Mrs. Chika Ugomba, the National chairman of the party said this in Ilorin while speaking with the party members during her two-day working visit to Kwara state.

Ugomba, said that the party represented hope for the masses as it had come to liberate Nigerians from sufferings and leadership failure.

“The logo of our party, which is a growing school boy, represents a hope for the future of this country.

“The hope for the country lies in MAJA party and it is the party that can re-germinate the dead seed of the country”, she said.

Ugomba said that MAJA, envisaged a Nigeria where a child of nobody would become somebody and a society based on equality and social justice.

She, however, warned party members against politics of polarization along religious or tribal lines.

Ugomba, who noted that Kwara needed political liberation, advised electorate to vote according to their conscience and shun financial inducement.

“Let nobody use ill-gotten money to influence you. You can collect the money; it is yours but do not vote for them because of the money.

“Vote according to your conscience”, said the MAJA national chairman.

She promised to look into the various requests of the state chapter of the party in readiness for a successful outing in the 2019 general elections.

In his own remark, Chief Philip Adekeye, the chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the party, urged party executives to ensure that the constitution and the manifestos of the party are put to action.

Adekeye said these was to ensure the success of the party in the forthcoming elections.

He sought for contributions and donations from members of the party to drive the party forward.

He said that he was against bank loan and overdraft in financing the party because of the implication.

Mrs. Rodiat R Omowumi, the national women leader of the party said it was the time of the youth to take over the leadership of the country.

She said that MAJA party has provided a platform for the youth and women in the country to achieve their political ambitions and aspiration.

She urged the party members to be loyal and faithful to the cause of the party at ensuring that the oppressors are ejected out of the governance in 2019 elections.

In his welcome address, Mr Agboola Ashaolu, the state chairman of the party sought adequate funding and logistic supports for the party to extend its tentacle to the nooks and crannies of the state.

Ashaolu noted that Kwara was a peculiar state, where the electoral activity has been ‘monetised’, hence “the need to re-strategise and take power from the oppressors”, he said.
