Policeman rape woman at ATM gallery in Awka

The Anambra state Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a policeman who allegedly raped a woman at an ATM gallery at night in a bank in Awka, the state capital.

Confirming the arrest to newsmen in Awka on Friday, the state Police Commissioner, Rabiu Ladodo, said that the suspect has been arrested and under detention.

“Soon after the police received complaint of the alleged rape from the victim, operatives were dispatched and the suspect was quickly arrested and placed under detention,” Ladodo said.

He however, added that preliminary investigation was yet to establish any case of rape.
