Perm Sec charges labour officers to be good ambassadors of the ministry

The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Mr. William Alo, has called on the newly recruited Labour Officers to be good ambassadors wherever they are called to represent the Ministry.
Mr. Alo, made this call in Abuja, during the flagged-off of a 2-day Induction Programme for the newly recruited Labour Officers in the Ministry.
Represented by the Director Human Resources Management, Alhaji Ibrahim Ajibola, Alo said the essence of the workshop was to educate the officers in the discharge of their duties and equip them to be at their best in the pursuit of their chosen career in the Federal Civil Service.
He however urged them to be knowledge driven, dedicated, diligent, honest in the discharge of their duties and aspire to promote the image of the Ministry, while noting that their inputs are relevant to promoting and achieving the Agenda of the present administration.
Earlier, in her remarks, the Director, Trade Union Services and Industrial Relations, Mrs. Omoabie Akpan, welcomed participants and enjoined them to erase any wrong impression they might have had about the Civil Service, being a place for third class and the never do well.
She added that, the Officers must determine to add value to the Service, to make their stay worthwhile.
