PDP Exposes How Ali Modu Sheriff Is Linked With APC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has revealed that its factional chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff, is an agent of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Sheriff left the APC and joined the PDP where he was made the national chairman. However, the crisis that followed later forced some of the members of the party to remove him.Since then, the former governor of Borno state had been fighting the party now headed by Ahmed Makarfi, a former governor too.
In a statement by Dayo Adeyeye, the national publicity secretary of the Makarfi-led faction, the party said: “We maintain that Sheriff and his co-travelers are agents of the APC.
“If they are true members of the Party, will they be gloating over the open robbery of our Party in Edo, Ondo and now Rivers?” The party said the “latest outburst of these enemies of electoral and democratic processes” must be at the prompting of their sponsors who want to use them to divert attention from the electoral heist in Rivers state. They urged the public to note “that Sheriff and his cohorts have never for once spoken for the party against the APC nor have they at anytime defended the interest of the party in any way.
“To this end, we are again calling on our members nationwide, teaming supporters and friends of the PDP to remain steadfast with the leadership of the party in its bid to re-position the Party for our general good.”
