Ozubulu killing: Ikpeazu condoles with Obiano

Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has expressed sadness over the shooting incident at St Philips Catholic Church Ozubulu in Anambra State earlier Sunday morning.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Enyinnaya Appolos, Gov. Ikpeazu while expressing his condolence with the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, the government and people of the State, described the incident as “unfortunate”.
Governor Ikpeazu therefore called on security agents to fully investigate the incident and speedily bring the perpetrators to justice, adding “We cannot afford to have criminal elements, in whatever guise, invade places of worship and unleash mayhem on innocent people.
The thoughts and prayers of the good people of Abia State are with our brothers in Anambra State as we mourn with them over the sad incident”, he said, and prayed God to heal the injured and grant the families of the victims the fortitude to bear the loss.
It would be recalled that during the 6.30 am church mass at the Ugwuaji Ozubulu, in Anambra State on Sunday, some armed men went into the church and shot sporadically in the church, leaving at its wake more than eleven persons dead and scores injured.
