Comrade Rotimi Olumo, the Oyo State coordinator of Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, has lauded Governor Abiola Ajimobi for the achievement his administration has achieved in the area of infrastructural development, peace, security and unity in the last six years.

He made this remark, while having an interactive section with newsmen in Ibadan shortly after the organization’s state executive meeting.

Comrade Rotimi Olumo said that in the last six years, the incumbent administration has brought unprecedented development to the state.

Comrade Olumo said that the all-inclusive style of Senator Ajimobi’s government is a proper pursuit of democracy and should be allowed to continue.

The OPC leader in the state also called on Governor Ajimobi to continue to maintain his leadership role, particularly as it regards the review of chieftaincy law in Ibadanland so as not to cause unnecessary crisis in Ibadanland.

Comrade Olumo added that, Senator Ajimobi should not play into the hands of politicians, but allow a round-table meeting in order to resolve the issue, adding that, chieftaincy matter is a very sensitive one, so the governor should take a meticulous approach to it.

“We all know that chieftaincy matter in Ibadan land has always been a straight forward one.Governor Ajimobi and Kabiesi Olubadan of Ibadanland are our fathers, mentor and role models and we all look up to them.”

Comrade Olumo said that before the review of the law on chieftaincy matter could be, proper consultation must be done with all stakeholders on the issue.

“Even if anything is to be done, there is need for dialogue. I know that at the end of the day, positive change would occur”.

He then also advised all members of OPC in the state to be of good conduct and always fight for the right of the masses.
