One Die In IPOB Attack As Man Flees With Family To Escape Wrath of Group

No fewer than One person have reportedly lost his life in a dastardly attack allegedly orchestrated by members of the Indigenous People of Biafrra (IPOB) in Anambra State while a man with his family present during the attack were said to have fled from the community in the wake of the dastardly attack.

The violent attack was said to have taken place in the evening on February 14th 2023 at the private residence of a man identified as Ukaekpu Kelechi Mark.

Ukaekpu Kelechi Mark, a successful businessman and member of the Ndigbo Neighbourhood Watch, became a target for the IPOB group as he was falsely accused of given information on the activities of the group to security agencies in the community.

A close source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that Ukaekpu Kelechi Mark was approached by members of the IPOB to be part of the group in their relentless struggle for the actualization of Biafrra republic adding that Ukaekpu Kelechi Mark as a member of the Ndigbo Neighbourhood Watch was an effective mobilizer of youths in the community.

However, Ukaekpu Kelechi Mark who was born on November 20th 1992 outrightly rejected the offer of IPOB membership, an action which entirely exposed him to the wrath of the group as his private residence was thereafter attacked on February 14th in 2023 and one person confirmed dead in the bloody attack.

His private residence was said to have come under violent attack by the group who launched the bloody attack in the evening of February 14th 2023 after several failed attempts to persuade him to accept their membership.

Meanwhile, Ukaekpu Kelechi Mark and his family were said to survived the dastardly attack unhurt while the one corpse were later deposited at the local mortuary.

At the time of filing in the report, Ukaekpu Kelechi Mark and his family were said to have been seeking refuge in an undisclosed location over possible fears of continued attacks as their immediate whereabouts however remain unknown to anyone in the community.
