Okorocha mourns Eze Njemanze

The people of Owerri ancient kingdom have been thrown into mourning mood following the demise, last week, of the traditional ruler of the kingdom His Royal Majesity Eze Eammuel Njemanze. It was widely rumoured that the foremost monarch passed on after a brief illness in his Owerri domain.
Governror Chief Rochas Okorocha, on Tuesday, moved his entire cabinet to the palace of the late king for a condolence visit. He described him as one of foremost traditional rulers in the country.
The governor, who was accompanied by his deputy, Prince Eze Madumere, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Sir. George Eche, Chief of Staff, Chief Uche Nwosu, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Paschal Obi, Head of Service, Mr. Calistus Ekenze and all the Commissioners, was received on arrival at the family house by the wife of the late king, Ugoeze Pauline Njemanze and the son, Prince Iheanyi Emenyonu Njemanze.
