Ogun agog for schools’ cycling challenge

The African Cycling Foundation, in partnership with The Bells Secondary School, is organizing a cycling competition for private secondary school students in Ogun State, tagged ‘Ogun Schools Cycling Challenge’ (OSCC).
The competition is a platform for teenagers to exhibit their cycling skills and encourage more teens to take up regular cycling. This will enable them grow into fit, healthy and successful adults with longer life expectancy.
The event which holds on Friday June 23, 2017 is for 80 male and female participants with about 500 spectators and officials expected. Venue is The Bells Secondary School, Ota, Ogun State holding from 9am – 4pm.
Extra Time gathered that the choice of Bells for the competition is because of its unique landscape. Designed as an annual event for private secondary schools in Ogun State, registration is free. The Ogun State Cycling Association are technical partners for this project and will officiate the competition.
Cycling has enjoyed resurgent growth in recent years due to increasing public awareness about its many health and wellness benefits.
