Ocheho tasks HFN board on handball development

President of newly inaugurated board of Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Samuel Ocheho, has charged his members to come together and work hard in order to take the sport to a deserved enviable height.

Ocheho who spoke during their two-day inaugural Retreat Programme held from July 28 to 29 in Abuja said, “It is a new dawn, a new era, a new beginning for every one of us in the handball family.”

He called on his board members to embark on the journey together noting that if they come together there is no mountain they cannot surmount, but if they go individually, they cannot achieve anything.

“All of us are lovers of handball and because of that we can put our heads together so that we can get to where we desire,” he said.

Ocheho promised that they will do their best to deliver handball to the level it deserves and added that handball has been crying for this level and as such he solicits the support of everybody around handball to take the sport to a new height.

Meanwhile, former President of HFN, Yusuf Dauda, pledged total support to the new leadership and reiterated that it is very important for all the board members to put heads together and move the game forward.

He enjoined members to put their differences behind them and move the game forward as the elections are over. Nine members attended the Retreat.
