No longer at ease, President Buhari makes another move to end militancy in N’Delta

(DGW) In a bid to to find a lastting solution to the ongoing militancy in the Niger Delta that has disrupted oil production and supplies, President Muhammadu Buhari has called a face-face meeting with leaders of the restive region.
This meeting is scheduled for next week and to hold in Abuja, Nigeria.
The disclosure was made by the Minister of State (Petroleum), Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu but did not say exactly where the meeting will hold and who are the leaders are.
According to the Minister, “Our target is to ensure zero militancy in the area,” Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu told a
forum in Abuja on Thursday, reports Reuters.
The renewed militancy has adversely reduced 2.2 million barrels a day to less than 1.1 million a day allocated to Nigeria by the oil cartel, the Organization of Petroleum exporting Countries.
