NNPS Ojo wins Lagos Inter-School Sports Competition

The Nigerian Navy Primary School (NNPS), Ojo has emerged winner of the 4th Annual – Inter School Sports competition of the Nigerian Navy Primary School (NNPS) in Lagos, held at the weekend.

The competition which had several events including match past in the school saw NNPS winning overall first position in the competition by 105 points.

NNPS Mobil Road and NNPS Okoko placed second and third overall positions respectively.

However, in the 4×400M, boys, NNPS Mobil Road emerged first, NNPS Ojo second and NNPS Okoko was in third position.

In the sack race, NNPS Mobil Road clinched first, NNPS Okoko second and NNPS Ojo came third respectively.

Meanwhile, in the high jump, girls, NNPS Ojo emerged first, NNPS Okoko came second and NNPS Ojo, again, came third position.

The Commanding Officer, NNS Beecroft, Commodore Abraham Adaji, while speaking with journalists said the event was significant because the Nigerian Navy Directorate of Education placed a very high premium on extra curricula activities.

The Climax of the competition was the presentation of gifts and trophies to eventual winners of the competition.

Present at the inter-house sports was the Director of Naval Education, Commordore A. Almu, Base Education Officer, Lt.-Cdr. B.Y. Ibrahim and other senior officers.
