A faction of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has ratified the expulsion of the national leader of the party , Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Engr. Buba Galadima, and the entire Kwankwassiya faction.
Recall that the faction under the national chairmanship of Dr. Agbo Major held its national convention, last week in Lagos.
The other faction immediately dismissed the emergence of a faction claiming that the Agbo Major leadership is not know to it.
But Agbo Major at a press conference in Abuja, said the party adhered to a court ruling directing INEC to recognize the Board of Trustees led by Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam.

Dr. Agbo said, “the party conducted a financial review to strengthen internal structures and expressed confidence that INEC would update its records, to reflect the leadership changes as directed by the court.
“As a party, we are not averse to having any form of understanding with any other political party, especially if it is in the interest of the Nigerian electorate.
“Alternatively, for now, we are not in any form of talks with any political party, that is why we have always been telling the media that whoever is talking to you as a leader, speaking on behalf of NNPP should be confirmed from the party’s secretariat if there is any such understanding at all.
“For now, we are not in touch with anybody, but when we get to that bridge, we will design how to proceed; all will be in the interest of Nigerians.
“Our party, the NNPP, remains united and focused as we prepare for 2027.”
The factional chairman explained that while NNPP remains open to alliances in the interest of Nigerians, the party is currently not in talks with any political group.
