Aviation guru and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Otunba Olugbenga Peter Obafemi (OPO), has congratulated former Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, on his 60th birthday.
The former chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) clocked 60 on Saturday.
Obafemi, who is eyeing the Ekiti Government House in the 2026 governorship election, in a congratulatory message, said: “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
“Attaining six decades is no small feat; and it is only right to acknowledge a life dedicated to public service in various capacities.
”Dr. Fayemi’s leadership saw notable initiatives, from the creation of local council development areas (LCDAs), enactment of the transition law, transforming the face of the state through the construction of many legacy projects, particularly the Ekiti Airport, which he started.

“His commitment to governance was, at the very least, eventful — including his spirited attempt to repair federal, state, and interland roads.
“As he marks this milestone, we pray that the Almighty grants him good health and long life, so that he may witness the unprecedented progress and transformation that Ekiti State will eventually experience under the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party.
