Nmamdi Kanu may renounce Biafra agitation, MEND claims
Embattled leader of the Leader of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, may renounced the body in order to regain his freedom, Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) said in a statement on Monday.
The militant group said that it’s position was the fallout of recent talks with the Federal Government.
MEND’s statement was signed by its spokesman, Jomo Gbomo. It said Kanu was willing to ‘secretly’ renounced Biafra in exchange for his freedom.
