Niger Tornadoes’ Wassa pleased with performance

After an impressive performance for Niger Tornadoes in his first season in the top flight, Gabriel Wassa is sure of better things in the 2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The left-back was one of the discoveries in the recently concluded NPFL campaign and delivered for the Ikon Boys at crucial stages.

He helped the club finish 11th at the end of the recently concluded season.

“For every success and achievement in life all glory goes to God. Mine isn’t different from others,” Wassa told Goal.

“My performance won’t have been possible without the help of Tornadoes’ coaches, management team mates, supporters and my family.

“On a general level, I think we gave a good account of ourselves and performed beyond the imagination of league followers.

“Next season will be better for us in terms of challenging for honours with the big teams.”
