NACCIMA holds 57th AGM, Conference in Abeokuta

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) will on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 hold its 57th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
This year’s AGM is geared towards electing a new President and National Officers to pilot the affairs of the Association for the next two years.
The 57th AGM has as its theme: “Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria: An Impetus to Economic Recovery,” is scheduled to take place at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Highlight of the ceremony is the investiture of Iyalode Alaba Lawson, MFR, FIoD, JoP as the 19th and 1st Female National President of NACCIMA, who will takes over from Chief Dr. Bassey Edem, FCA, MFR.
The AGM will transact the following: receive the 2016 National President’s Annual Report, receive and consider the National Treasurer’s Report and the Audited Accounts for the Year ended 31st December 2016, elect Officers for the Year 2017/2018 and appoint Auditors.
The event would climax on Thursday May 25, 2017 with the Association’s Annual Conference to be declared open by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
Dignitaris expected at ocasio are the representative to ECOWAS and Regional Director, United Nation Development Organisation (UNIDO), Mr. Jean Bakole, who will deliver a paper on the Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria: An Impetus to Economic Recovery”, while former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR will preside over the Technical session.
