My husband wants to beat me to death, wife tells court
A middle aged woman, Mrs. Modinat Opeloye, has cried in court for safety, as her husband, Mr. Ismael Opeloye wanted to beat her to death.
Opeloye had filed a case of dissolution of her six years old marriage against her husband on March 16, 2016.
The plaintiff accused her husband of constant beating, uncooperative attitude, lack of care, threatening of life and desertion since 2015.
“Woe unto the day I met him, for I have no rest of mind since I married him, he has not been caring for me and my children for a while.
“Apart from all the problems he is giving me, he is addicted to raining curses on me and my children and he is threatening to kill me.
“Please save me from him and dissolve the marriage for the safety of my life and in the interest of my children” she pleaded.
The President of the Court, Chief Bunmi Adegoke granted Modinat’s dissolution pleas and dissolved the 6-year-old marriage over her husband constant beating and threats.
