Miss Nigeria Organization appoints Ezinne Akudo as Creative Director

Nigeria’s leading pageant organizers, Miss Nigeria Organisation, have announced the appointment of legal practitioner, entrepreneur and former pageant winner, Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha as the pageant’s new creative director.
This move is coming on the heels of a recent restructuring of the organization, targeted at bolstering the essence of the brand and projecting pageant queens as positive role models for young women in Nigeria and across Africa.
Miss Akudo is widely acknowledged as a strong female voice and a passionate advocate for women’s rights. During her reign as Miss Nigeria in 2013, she established the Eight Foundation, a Non- Governmental, non-profit organization focused on providing psycho-social counselling and legal aid for survivors of sexual violence. She stands tall as one of the best to have ever held the coveted title of “Miss Nigeria” since its inception. Successful, forthright and undeniably beautiful, it is no surprise that she has been chosen to lead the organization at this time.
Speaking on the choice of Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha to lead the organization, Fidelis Anosike, Chairman of Folio Media Group (owners of Miss Nigeria Organization), stated as follows: “having considered several outstanding candidates for this position, we found Miss Akudo most suited to provide creative leadership and direction for the organization. Given her excellent track record as the 38thMiss Nigeria and her subsequent academic and professional accomplishments, we are confident that she will excel in this new role and are prepared to give her all the support she needs. “
Responding to her appointment, Miss Akudo expressed appreciation and excitement over the recognition and her plans thus:
“I am honored by the confidence placed in me by the Miss Nigeria organization, particularly at such a critical juncture in the organization’s history. I am earnestly committed to honoring this trust by restoring and projecting the primary essence of the Miss Nigeria pageant. Indeed, the new Miss Nigeria will promote women who are not only beautiful, but strong, intellectually sound and steadfast in promoting positive values.”
Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from Abia State University, and an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom. She is also a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
