Minister Prioritises Promotion of Non-Oil, Industrial Sectors
The New Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Chief Kenneth Kobani has assumed duty at the Headquarters of the Ministry in Abuja, pledging to give priority attention in line with the ministry’s mandate to growing the economy through promotion of non-oil and industrial sectors.
On arrival the Kobani was received by the Permanent Secretary, Amb. Abdulkadir Musa and the Directors in the Ministry.
In his brief address, the Minister said that he has been appointed as the Minister of state for Industry, Trade and Investment with a mandate to grow the economy, promote non-oil products as well as improve the industrial sector of the economy.
He said “I am aware of the task at hand and the need to add value to this Ministry as a stakeholder having being involved in the activities of the Ministry as a former Commissioner of Commerce and Industry.”
The Minister promised to work and cooperate with the management team and staff of the Ministry adding that all staff should be dedicated to work and ensure that they add value to the Ministry’s activities for effective service delivery to Nigerians.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ambassador Abdulkadir Musa welcomed the Minister and expressed his happiness to receive him adding that all staff of the Ministry would cooperate with him to enable the Ministry achieve the Transformation Agenda of Mr. President.
