MFM lifted by cup win ahead Rangers clash
MFM FC coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has said he believes the team’s first-ever triumph in the Lagos Federation Cup will spur them on when they face league leaders Enugu Rangers on Wednesday.
The Olukoya Boys dumped Bridge FC of Lagos 4-0 courtesy of two goals from Sikiru Olatunbosun, a goal each from Onuwa Chukwuka and captain Kennedium Nelson to emerge the 2016 Lagos Federation Cup winners.
“I believe this victory will motivate us going into our next league match against Enugu Rangers this Wednesday,” said an elated Ilechuckwu
“I’m very, very happy for winning this trophy we’ve been targeting for years; thank God we won it at last.
“My players did so well and played according to our plan. I’m very proud of them because this F.A Cup means a lot to me. I want to say kudos to them for a job well done.”
