Mehdi Carcela secures point for Granada

The Morocco attacker scored his third goal of the season for his troubled side as they drew at Valencia
At the back of an impressive cameo for the Atlas Lions in their 0-0 draw against the Cote d’Ivoire in a 2018 World Cup Qualifier, Carcela continued with his impressive run for Granada.
The 28-year-old Belgian-born attacker fired the Nasrids into a 1-0 lead on the stroke of half-time to take them into the interval holding the lead.
But Carcela and the Nasrids’ lead was indeed short lived, as Nani levelled matters two minutes after walking out of the tunnel for the second half.
The strike was Carcela’s third of the season in eight outings as he looks to continue making an impression after arriving from Benfica at the start of the campaign.
Lucas Alcaraz’s side are winless in all their 12 matches of the current La Liga season, and remain rooted at the bottom of the log standings with five points, whilst Valencia are in 15th with ten points.
Unlike Granada though, the Oranges have manage three wins from their twelve matches to date.
Granada will be without Alcaraz when they take on Celta Vigo in their next encounter as the tactician was dismissed in the 87th minute of Sunday’s bout.
