Masari is keeping to his campaign promises -Abdullahi

The Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari is keeping to his campaign promises and delivering on them to his people. This is the view of the executive secretary, Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission, Mr. Ahmad Kabiru Abdulahi, who spoke after it was reported that Governor Masari visited his own son who is receiving treatment at a public hospital in the state.
Masari had on Thursday, visited the General Hospital Katsina to see his son, Baffa who was on admission at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital.
But Kabiru recalled that Governor Masari had promised during his campaign that he will upgrade the general hospitals and equip them to modern standard and will never take his family abroad for medical treatment.
According to Kabiru, in keeping to his campaign promises, Masari upgraded the three general hospitals in each senatorial districts – Katsina, Daura and Funtua in which some members of his family and the citizens of the state are all using.
The secretary to the Katsina State government, Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa and other government officials followed Governor Masari to the hospital where his son was receiving treatment.
The Daily Times reports that a number of people at the hospital lauded the governor for taking his son to a public hospital.
“Some of the hospital staff believes that the governor took the action in fulfilment of the resolve to develop and patronise government owned hospitals and schools in fulfilment of his electoral campaign promises.
The hospitals has been developed and fully equipped to a world class standard. Four other general hospitals including that of Daura and Funtua have equally been developed and equipped.
“The governor has so far spent over N10 billion in the education sector including the redevelopment of over 1000 primary schools. Close observers are already seeing the fulfilment of Governor Masari’s campaign promises.
Parents have gained confidence in the public schools and are now withdrawing their wards from private schools to government owned schools,” Kabiru added.
