Many feared dead as police/shi’te clash in Kano

Many have been reported killed following a violent clash between security agents and members of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) popularly known as Shi’te in Kano. Tsmburawa is located at kilometer 20, Kano-Zaria road. The incident which occurred at Tamburawa General area along Zaria Road around 8.00am when hundreds of Shi’te were on annual trekking to Zaria.

Security sources in Kano told Vanguard that several hundreds of others are injured following heavy resistance encountered by the police. Already, the strategic highways have been closed to traffic as thousands of commuters have been stranded.
