Man arraigned in court for car theft

One Ahmed Shoyemi, was, on Thursday, arraigned before a Lagos state Magistrate court sitting in Ikeja on a two count charge bothering on conspiracy and stealing.

The accused and others at large, conspired to steal one Mazda bus with registration number SMK66DR, worth N2.1million, property of one Alabi Adenrele.

The crime was said to have been carried out on the 7th day of May, 2016 at about 7pm at Yaba.

The suspect was arraigned by the Investigating Police Officer, (I.P.O), Inspector. Osadolor Ben, before Magistrate Aje Afunwa.

The defendant, who pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him, was granted a bail of N600,000, with two sureties in like sum, who must submit verifiable documents of payment of tax and whose addresses must be verified.

The matter was however adjourned till 19th October, 2016, for hearing.
