Life Lager successfully caps off 2019 Hi-life fest

After three months of exciting musical showcases across major cities in south-east Nigeria, winners have emerged from the 2019 edition of Life Lager beer flagship music talent hunt, Hi-Life fest.

The contest came to a rousing conclusion on Sunday after all the remaining contestants put up a great show in a bid to earn the grand prize of the day.

Life Lager also lined up some of the biggest names in the music industry, including the likes of veteran singer – Onyeka Onwenu, Afro-pop star – KCEE, as well as brand ambassador and hip-hop star – Phyno.

Speaking after the finale, Brand Manager of Life Lager, Chidi Egwu, said that the motive was to give all the acts a platform to showcase their talents, despite the fact that there has to be a winner, they are all winners.

“Life Lager is all about progress. Giving these talented acts a platform to showcase their talents has been a thing of joy to us. We believe everyone who has been on this show is a winner and we look forward to seeing how they progress in their careers.

“2019 has been an eventful year for Life Lager, the brand kicked off 2019 with its bridge of progress of parties in Alaba, Lagos, and Ekwulobia, Anambra. The brand has continued to support progress and celebrate the culture of the people.

The competition which is in its third year, had regional knockouts across the south-eastern part of the country. The search for the 2019 Hi-life king saw Life Lager head to cities such as Akwa, Asaba, Aba, Onitsha, Enugu, and Port-Harcourt.

After three months of exciting musical showcases across these cites, 4 contestants reached the finals in Onitsha, hoping to do enough to impress the judges on the night.

The judges on the night were singer – David Jones David, renowned dance instructor – Dr. Akaz, highlife legend – Bright Chimezie, and Nigerian music icon – Onyeka Onwenu.

After a keenly contested showpiece, winners in the music and dance category carted away with a grand prize on the day which were 5 million and 2 million Naira respectively.

All winners on the night were clearly elated, particularly as they were handed their cheques.

This finale caps off months of sensational music shows across south-eastern Nigeria and offered a fitting conclusion to the 2019 edition of Hi-life Fest.
