LG Poll: APC to Win 44 LG- Garo

Kano State Commissioner Ministry for Local government, Murtala Sule Garo, has expressed optimistic that the Ruling All Progressives Party (APC) would win the 44 local government areas in the local government election.
Garo made this known to news men shortly after casting his vote at his home town Garo in Kabo local government and supervision of the election.
Garo Described the election as free and fair devoid of any form of violence.
” from my experiences, this is the first time am witnessing such a free and fair election conducted by the Kansiec. We don’t have any report of any violence from the 484 wards across the 44 local governments”
” As you are aware the ministry for local government is the coordinating body of the 44 local governments, so by extension am coordinating and as far as an concerned, the election is free and fair”
The Commissioner attributed the delay experienced during the election to the failure on the part of the contractor who could not deliver sensitive materials on earlier on Friday as scheduled but arrived lately Friday night hence, the delay in the distribution of the electoral materials on Saturday.
Murtala further stated that, considering the performance of his Excellency Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the efforts put in place during the campaign, one can easily conclude that APC would emerge victorious in the election, winning the 44 local governments.
Stay off critical assets- Air Force warns criminals

The Nigerian Air Force(NAF) in Lagos has warned criminals to stay off critical assets while reteirating its commitment to secure the country and citizenry.
The Chief of air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar gave the warning during the inauguration of the renovated Paul Dike Hall at 055 Nigerian Air Force Camp, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Abubakar was repreaented by the Air Officer Commanding, Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal Nnamdi Ekeh.
According to Abubakar, our presence has brought hope and relief to the despaired and a source of worry to the criminally minded.
“Let me use this medium to remind you of the nation’s expectation at this time of heightened security challenges accross the country.
“Much is expected of us as an institition and as individuals in ensuring the protection of citizenry and other critical assets of the Nigerian state,” he said.
He urged all officers and men to continue to discharge its constitutuonal responsibilities, remain steadfast and committed to military professionalism.
On the renovated hall, Abubakar said it was part of NAF’s effort to improve the wellbeing of personnel to contribute meaningfully towards the collective efforts at meeting the demands of national security.
“The NAF has always been and will remain in the forefront of providing excellent service delivery to its personnel.
“The renovated hall is definitely conducive for the unit’s training day lectures, monthly durbars, medical sensitisation programes and other famimy enlightenment programs,” he said.
Abubakar commended the efforts and sacrifices of the team who took part in the accomplishement process of the renovation.
Earlier, the commander, 055 NAF Camp, Air commodore Kabiru Aliyu, thanked everyone that participated in the achievement of the renovated hall.
He added that the idea was conceived in concert with chief of air staff’s visionary ideogy of value addition to facilities in NAF’s units.
