Lawmaker offers free medical services to 200 constituents

A member representing Doma South constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. James Dangana, says more than 200 people of his constituency have benefited from his free medical outreach.
He told newsmen at Rukubi, Doma Local Government Area of the state, that he spent N1 million to provide the services to boost the health status of his constituents.
Dangana (APC) is also the Chairman, House Committee on Information.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the free healthcare services featured free medical consultation on eye, diabetic and other diseases.
According to him, he partnered the National Youths Service Corp (NYSC) Medical and Community Health Service Group in the state to deliver the service.
The lawmaker expressed his determination to sponsor the free medical services in order to better the lives of his constituents for the overall development of the country.
“I have decided to sponsor the free medical services as part of my commitment as well as in fulfillment of my campaign promises so as to better the health and the standard of living of my constituents.
“Rendering services to humanity is just a privileged, so I count myself as one of those people that God favoured to partner NYSC to bring humanitarian services to my community and to my constituency.
“The free medical service will go a long way in improving the health and standard of living of the people of my constituency,” he said.
“Everybody is aware of what I have done so far to better the standard of living of my constituents and I promise to do more through initiating people oriented projects in order to better our standard of living,’’ he said.
Dangana also pledged to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to alleviate the plight of the people of the area.
He also assured of a fruitful and quality representation to his people in the state legislature.
He called on Nigerians to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and to live in peace irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliation.
The legislator also called on the people of the area and the state at large to support Gov. Tanko Al-Makura’s administration to enable it deliver more dividends of democracy to them,.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke during the free medical services appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture and called for its sustenance.
