Kuje Council pays N1.6bn contract liability, N251.3m salary arrears

The Kuje Area Council Chairman, Alhaji Abdulahi Galadima, has said that his administration within three years has paid off contract debt of N1.6 billion and other countless projects ongoing across the eight political wards.

Honourable Galadima, also stated that his administration is presently up to date in paying workers’ salaries after netting off three months arrears totalling N251.3 million inherited from the past administration.

The Kuje Area Council Chairman said this while briefing the media and the members Staff of the Area councils Service Secretariat.

According to him his office on resumption in 2016 met several conflicting issues bothering on debt from contracts, insecurity problems from herder/ farmers’ problems and youth’s unemployment and the host of others.
