Kogi Guber: Braimoh, AA candidate promises creation of more LGAs, free education.

The Action Alliance (AA), one of the leading political parties in the race for the November Kogi state Governorship election, has promised to create Development Areas out of the present 21 local government areas.
Addressing a town hall meeting held at the Motel 5 Hotel in Felele, Lokoja local government area of Kogi state, as part of his consultation with groups communities and the entire people, the Flag bearer of Action Alliance, Chief Olayinka Braimoh, promised to create a Development Area for the Oworo district in view of the agricultural and solid mineral potentials of area.
The Candidate said creation and distribution of wealth is one of cardinal goals of the AA Government in the state,urged the people to give him the support to win the November election, to accelerate the required development of the people at the grassroots.
Olayinka Braimoh, also promised to procure over 2, 000 hectres of land for 50 ready farmers across the state to engage in mordern and mechanized agricultural activities if elected as the governor of the state.
” Every available space in the state will be transformed into farm for mass production of food both for local consumption and export. every square metre of the state is for farming”, the AA Candidate said.
While expressing disappointment over gross inadequacies in the schools, the flag bearer promised to rebuild the schools and provide free education at the primary and secondary schools levels.
He also lamented that 48% of women in the state have no access to ante natal clinics due largely to poverty and in availability of the facilities , pointing out that Kogi is leading in poor health facilities in localities.

He said creating Development Areas out of the local government councils will bring the rural dwellers closer to the government so that human and natural resources potentials lurking in the rich arable soil of the land would be adequately tapped.
Earlier in their various submissions during town hall session, leaders, stakeholders women and Youths from the 3 Oworo zones expressed gratitude to the governorship candidate for considering Oworo district for the meeting.
The groups complained bitterly of abundant human and natural resources begging to be tapped in their territory, while agricultural activities have slowed down due to lack of encouragement by successive administrations.
According to the Oworo spokespersons, Lokoja local government area is very large and has not been easy for them to see meaningful development as done in certain areas.
The Women on their part, complained of inadequate schools and teachers, health facilities, and general socio economic amenities among others.
