Curvaceous Nollywood actress cum singer, Anita Joseph is one of the popular faces in Nollywood who have done quite a commendable job through her acting skills and delivery prowess. In recent times; Anita has been tagged a controversial actress but despite this; she has kept soaring higher at every point in time. In this chat with MUTIAT ALLI, the Anambra State-born thespian disclosed that she is taking her time on the issue of marriage, her kind of man, career amongst others.

How has the year been for you?

The year has been great by his grace. It has been awesome and all I can say is thank you Lord for keeping me this far.

You seem to have bounced back to the industry; why the sudden break initially?

Music made me take a break.

I read sometimes ago that you have ‘repented’ and no longer flaunting your cleavages, how true is that?

I repented a long time ago.  I wear what’s proper now, I just feel it’s needed.

You were mocked some time ago for ‘claiming’ your friend’s pregnancy, how did that make you feel?

That wasn’t mockery. It was my pregnancy too, it was part of the plan for the scripture to be fulfilled.

 Do you feel bad because you’re not a mother yet?

Hahaha hahaha feel bad about what? You say? I am not because God’s plan for each and every one of us has been ordained.

 How do you handle critics?

I handle critics well and I adjust… No time is late to learn.

Any plan to marry soon or join the trend of baby mama?

These your questions sha. I can decide not to answer you. But I choose to. Marriage comes when it comes. Am not bothered about it. And if by the way he shoots and is a pregnancy then it’s a congratulation!

What’s your kind of man?

My kind of man must be spirit filled, a man that fears Jehovah God. There’s nothing more attractive to me than a man that loves God. He must make me Laff. Good sense of humour. A dresser and must smell good.

Can you marry an actor or a comedian?

Yes I can. I don’t like loud men. I don’t like a man that picks or blows his nose anyhow. Especially in the public. I love a man I can fart in his presence and he will tell me well-done princess. He can fart too, that’s OK. But too much of everything is bad oh.

So, is that man in your life right now?

Yes of course. My favourite food is beans and afang soup. When am home am indoors. I don’t do cinemas. I prepare to be indoors with my man. I have a TV set in the house; all I need do is to buy popcorn and Fanta then off the light. No cinema pass that.

What do you like most about your man?

He treats me like I am the only woman on earth and he loves God.

Hope he doesn’t feel jealous seeing you kiss and cuddle on the screen?

(Laughs). Well, he feels jealous sometimes; but he knows is an act. And he trusts me.

Your unforgettable experience as an actress?

That will be when some guy tapped my bum. I can’t forget that day. I wanted to remove my heels and pursue him. But the actress in me held me bound. If not…

 Is your butts your most cherished body part?

No. To me, I don’t think so. Every part of my body is important and my most cherished.

You are well endowed behind, would you insure it for a certain amount of money?

Am not into such things oh. I might though. Don’t know yet. But if…..

Majorly all your colleagues are into movie productions, are you planning that to?

For now no

How will you describe your sense of styles?

I love dressing how I want to be addressed. I dress according to the occasion. Keep simple but stand out always

Can you say you are a fulfilled woman?

I don’t have everything I want right now but am grateful and I am content. I don’t have it all but am well.

Lots of celebrity marriages are crashing, does that worry you and scare you from venturing into it?

It’s not only celebrities Marriages that crashes. It’s everywhere. And no it doesn’t bother me or worry me. In fact it makes me stronger and remind me that when I finally marry I must remain married because there are lots of wolves out there waiting to devour it.

Lastly, where do you see Anita Joseph’s brand in few years’ time? 

That will definitely be when the brand is moving to its permanent site.
