Keyamo, Najomo to honour Nigeria’s best cabin crew at NIGAV Awards

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo and the Director General Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) are set to crown best cabin crew as the King And Queen of the Air (NKQA) at the 14th annual NIGAV Award and Ministerial Dinner, scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the NIGAV Centre, Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos.

Nigeria Aviation Award Committee (NIGAV) in collaboration with Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, have invited members of cabin crew to participate in the contest for the next Nigeria King and Queen of the Air (NKQA 2024).

A media statement by Chairman, NIGAV Event Committee, Mr Fortune Idu, stated that there will also be an After Flight Party for the Award winners and the Cabin Crew.

According to Idu, the NKQA contest is part of NIGAV’s end-of-year aviation performance celebration, which promotes best practices in in-flight safety and passenger management by cabin crew.

“This contest underscores the crucial role that cabin crew play in enhancing the overall flight experience for passengers”

Idu said the winner will be given two million Naira prize for the NKQA 2024

According to him, the reigning King and Queen will serve for one year and will initiate a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, beginning with a charity cash donation to the SOS Children’s Village, followed by a community awareness campaign focused on aviation safety.

“This contest is open exclusively to Nigerians currently working as cabin crew for any Nigerian airline. Interested individuals must express their intent to participate by submitting a letter of interest, which must be endorsed by their airline management, by April 1, 2025.
