Kano Police assure residents of adequate security

The Kano State Police Command, on Thursday, assured residents of adequate security as the Christian faithful prepare to celebrate this year’s Easter.

According to its Public Relations Officer (PRO), DSP Magaji Majiya, the command had put in place security measures to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration.

He said that the command had deployed security personnel to various places of worship and recreational centres, in order to enhance security during the celebration.

Furthermore, that the Command had deployed armed policemen and plain-cloth security personnel to strategic places within the city to keep vigil during the period.

He called on residents to be extra-vigilant and report any suspected character or movement to security agents for prompt action.

He reminded that the ban on unauthorised gathering or meetings in the state was still in force.

He warned that any person or group of persons found violating the order would be arrested and prosecuted.
