Justices Eko, Augie join S’court bench today

The two Justices whose elevations to Supreme Court bench were approved by President Muhammadu Buhari at the weekend will be sworn in today, November 7 2016.

The new Supreme court  Justices Ejembi Eko and Amina A. Augie will take their oath of office before  the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed at 2pm today  in the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

A statement issued by the Acting Director Information, National Judicial Council (NJC), Soji Oye, said the President’s approval of their elevations to the Supreme Court of Nigeria was on the recommendation of the National Judicial Council.

Justice Ejembi Eko hails from Benue State while Justice Amina Augie from Kebbi State. They were until their appointments, Justices of the Court of Appeal.
