JUST IN: Morata Out For 30 Days With Hamstring Injury

It’s tough news for Chelsea FC and the fans at the Bridge. Alvaro Morata will miss matches against Roma, Watford and Everton.

There is a dark Blue cloud hovering over Stamford Bridge as news of Alvaro Morata’s injury drifts in.

The London club will be without their club record 60 million pounds striker for at least 30 days.

Morata is Chelsea’s leading goal scorer this season after hitting the back of the net 7 times.

He picked up the injury during the Blues match against visiting Manchester City on Saturday.

Spanish team doctors diagnosed the grade two myofascial injury and he will miss this week’s World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Israel.

Experts say muscle injuries such as this can take four to eight weeks to recover from.

Spain are top of group G, three points clear of Italy, with two games remaining. Chelsea next play Crystal Palace on 14 October, before games against Roma, Watford and Everton.
