Jubilation as Alahun clocks five on the throne

Imoore and Apapa kingdom was agog as Oba Taofik Adegboyega Akeju, Awojo III, the Alahun of Imoore and Apapa land clocked five on the throne of his forefathers.

As part of the activities to celebrate his fifth coronation anniversary, Oba Akeju installed new chiefs – they are: High Chief Babtunde Babalola Shabi as Asiwaju of Kirikiri land, High Chief Michel Abboud as Aare Onakakanfo of Imoore land, Chief Adewale Akeju asOdofin, Chief Tunde Olayemi as Eletu, Chief Hassan as Aro, High Chief Sheu Hassan as Balogun, Chief Nojeem Hassan as Odemo, Chief Isiaka Hassan asAare, Chief Teslim Lawal as Olowa. Others are Chief Taiwo as Opeluwa, Chief Musa Amodu as Lisa, Chief Titus Olayemi as Osunba, Akeem Hassan as Osi, Chief (Mrs.) Rukayat Adeola Balogun As Yeye Oba, Chief (Mrs.) Basirat Awojo as Iyalode, Chief (Mrs.) Patricia Leo Nwokedi Udeh as Iyaloja Oba Alahun Mini-Masrket, Chief (Mrs.) Shefiat Jimoh as Otun Iyalode.

Speaking with Daily Times on the five year coronation, High chief Mukaila the Oloriebi of Imoore and Apapa land, also Odofin of Kuje Amuwo expressed his satisfaction and happiness at the reign of the king, describing the king’s reign as a “Landmark” because of Oba Taofik’s reign had witnessed an enviable progress and development in the history of Imoore and Apapa land.” He led prominent Imoore chiefs to rally massive support for the fifth coronation anniversary of our amiable king.

When Daily Times correspondent spoke with other chiefs like Ase, Aro, Olisa, Osi, Otun Oba, Akogun and others, they described Oba Taofik Adegboyega as a peaceful monarch, very accommodating and prayed to God to give him sound health and long life on the throne.
